Introduction to VEX Robotics (ATU Letterkenny)

Bring STEM to Life with VEX Robotics – Summer Course for Primary Teachers

Build confidence, creativity, and classroom impact with this hands-on professional development course in VEX IQ robotics. Through engaging building, coding, and problem-solving challenges, teachers will learn how to deliver exciting, inclusive STEM lessons that develop pupils’ logical thinking, collaboration, and resilience.

Work with real VEX IQ kits, explore ready-to-use STEM Labs, and gain practical strategies for managing group work, differentiating learning, and integrating robotics across the curriculum. Experience the Engineering Design Process in action, take part in team challenges and a mini-competition, and discover how to assess learning through observation, reflection, and design journals.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a clear, practical plan to introduce robotics in your school—complete with ideas for lessons, assessment, and even launching a VEX competition team.

Leave inspired, confident, and ready to transform STEM learning in your classroom.
