Overview
Step into a dynamic and inspiring summer course designed to bring literacy to life in your classroom through playful and purposeful learning. This engaging programme guides teachers through the Primary Language Curriculum, exploring how to effectively develop the three key strands: oral language, reading, and writing in ways that are active, creative, and child-centred. This course is suitable for teachers from Junior Infants right through to Sixth Class, including SET teachers across the primary school.
Course Outline
Across five interactive days, participants will embark on their own learning journey—creating a reflective journal as they explore rich children’s literature and discover practical, playful approaches to teaching literacy that spark curiosity and engagement in young learners.
Each session is carefully structured into manageable, focused segments, with plenty of opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and reflection, all grounded in active and playful methodologies suitable for the primary classroom.
