Event Description
This webinar aims to support primary and special schools with the enactment of the Primary Language Curriculum (Government of Ireland, 2019) as an inclusive curriculum for all children.
The seminar will focus on developing teachers’ knowledge and understanding of the Primary Language Curriculum (PLC), in line with the interagency Preparation for Teaching and Learning: Guidance for All Primary and Special Schools (Government of Ireland, 2021) and the Primary Curriculum Framework (Government of Ireland, 2023). The seminar is suitable for teachers and school leaders in primary and special schools, including class teachers, special education teachers, special class teachers, and special school teachers.
Learning Outcomes:
During this seminar, participants will develop their knowledge and understanding of:
- Key messages of the Primary Language Curriculum and Preparation for Teaching and Learning: Guidance for All Primary and Special Schools
- Structure of the Primary Language Curriculum including Strands, Elements, Learning Outcomes and Progression Continua
- NCCA Curriculum Online, including Support Materials, Additional Support Pathways and Online Toolkit
An NCSE Certificate of Attendance is available to participants.
Participants will require permission from their Board of Management to attend.
