Understanding their strengths as visual learners, implementing strategies like pre-teaching and explicit instruction, and differentiating instruction to support their needs

Establish routines: Create and maintain consistent daily routines with the help of a visual schedule. This builds security and familiarity.

Promote inclusion: Foster a sense of belonging by minimizing withdrawal and maximizing participation in the regular classroom activities.

Encourage peer interaction: Structure activities that allow students with and without Down syndrome to learn and practice social skills together.
