Local Voices Book Project for TY Students - Interactive Info Session

Local Voices Book Project for TY Students - Interactive Info Session

Overview
The Local Voices Book Project from Emu Ink Publishing gives TY students the opportunity to research, create and publish a real book – while developing practical, transferable skills that will benefit them for life. This is not a simulation. It’s a hands-on publishing experience guided by professionals!

This webinar will provide TY teachers and coordinators with the opportunity to have an interactive session with the team (Emer and Ciara) from Emu Publishing who are happy to go through any queries you may have about the project and how it operates to help you feel more informed about this project.

What is the Local Voices Book Project?
Students work collaboratively to plan, research, write and produce a professionally designed book capturing the stories, people and heritage of their local community.
They become;

  • Researchers.
  • Writers.
  • Interviewers.
  • Editors.
  • Creators.

And at the end of the process, they hold a published book in their hands.
