Team Teaching in Mathematics (Primary)
The Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) in conjunction with Donegal Education Centre invites you to nominate a Special Education Teacher and one other teacher from your school to attend a full day seminar entitled Team Teaching in Mathematics - The Next Steps
This seminar is ‘The Next Step’ in Team Teaching, building upon teachers’ prior knowledge and experience. Participants will explore inclusive approaches to teaching, learning and assessment in mathematics. Practical, engaging and stimulating pupil centred mathematical activities are at the heart of this seminar. Teachers will develop a robust understanding of how schools can successfully progress their inclusive Team Teaching practices by practically engaging with the SEN (2017) guidelines and assessment data. These targeted approaches can support all pupils in achieving success in mathematics.
Teachers will find it beneficial to be familiar with their pupils’ SEN profiles and school based data in Mathematics in advance of the seminar. We would ask teachers to bring a copy of Circular 0013/2017 and the accompanying Guidelines to the Seminar.

Substitute cover is available for both teachers who attend. As this is a Team-teaching CPD event it is important that BOTH teachers attend the same seminar on the same day.
Lunch will be provided.
