Overview
This summer course* is about using digital technology to support inclusive learning, using a Universal Design for Learning** (UDL) approach in the mainstream primary classroom. It includes key inputs from the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) and others.
In this course, you will become familiar with the policy and curriculum context in relation to inclusion. You will explore how digital technology can support a UDL approach, looking at how pupils engage with learning, how learning content can be represented by teachers in an accessible way and how pupils can use digital technology to express themselves and demonstrate their learning. You will also explore digital learning tools and strategies which support a UDL approach to promote inclusive learning and will create an accessible digital resource as part of the course.
