Preparing for Post Primary Middle Leadership and Assistant Principal Roles

This practical workshop is designed for teachers preparing to apply for Posts of Responsibility.

Using Looking at Our School 2022 and Circular 0003/2018, participants will explore;

•  an overview of the interview process and Circular 0003/2018 
•  using Looking at Our School 2022as a framework for preparation 
•  understanding leadership and management through the LAOS domains 
•  approaching competency-based interviews with confidence 
•  identifying and presenting relevant evidence of leadership experience 
•  making a strong professional impression at interview 
•  engaging with sample scenarios and reflective responses

Facilitator - Kieran Sweeney
Kieran Sweeney is an accredited post-primary coach with experience as an AP1, Deputy Principal, Principal and former Director of Limerick Education Centre. He is a qualified and certified leadership coach and a trained and approved competency-based interview chairperson with the JMB.
