Included below is a summary of all CPD events for the upcoming week beginning 10th November 2025 aswell as some other highlights for November and December.

Here is a summary of some other great events/initiatives your school may be interested in: 

  • NCSE Events - Details of any upcoming NCSE Teacher Professional Training can be found here. To register for any of this training please click here.
  • Oide Events - Details of any upcoming Oide Teacher Professional Training can be found here. To register for any of this training please click here.
  • NEPS Events - The National Educational Psychological Service (NEPS) are running a series of sessions focused on supporting children who are reluctant speakers / selectively mute at school. To register, please click here.
  • NABMSE Events - The National Association of Boards of Management in Special Education  (NABMSE) are running a series of in-person seminars for school leaders/BOM members of post primary schools over the coming weeks. To register, please click here.
  • Wainfest Children's Art Competition - Glenveagh National Park - competition open to all children and young people in Donegal, click here for further information.
  • Concern Primary Debates Programme 2025 / 2026 - the registration window for this programme has now closed. We are delighted to say there has been great interest in this programme again this year and we are looking forward to some more fantastic debates.
  • Introduction to VEX Robotics - the information session provided by Dr Gary Cullen and John Conaghan from ATU Letterkenny on Wednesday 5th November 2025 was a great success. We will be sending some further communications to all Primary schools on this very soon.
  • Scriobh Leabhar 2025 / 2026 - the registration window for this programme has now closed. There has been fantastic interest in this again this year and further communication to those schools who have registered will follow shortly.
  • 2nd Annual 'Waterford' Competition - 2025 - deadline for registration is 15th November, click here for further information.
  • National Write a Poem Competition - 2025 (Post Primary) - deadline for registration is 12th December, click here for further information.
  • All-Island School History Competition - 2025 - deadline for registration is 5th December, click here for further information.
  • Active School Programme 2025 / 2026 - there is an information webinar about partnerships and supports for Primary and Special Schools who are looking to achieve the Active School Flag or renew it in 2025/2026. There are two webinars available to attend (both with same content so you only need to attend one of these). These webinars are on 18th or 19th November - registration details can be found here.
  • Meet The Scientist Webinar Series 2025 / 2026 - these individual webinars are free and designed for kids in 4th, 5th and 6th class, click here for further information.
  • START (Schools Teaching Awareness of Randomised Trials) Competition 2025 / 2026 - this competition is for Primary Schools (4th, 5th and 6th class) and registration opens on 10th November 2025, click here for further information.
