21st Century Skills for 21st Century Children
• Our pupils are now digital natives who do not know a world prior to technology.
• As teachers therefore we need to teach 21st Century skills for our pupils to progress and to succeed in this world where change is happening at a phenomenal rate.
• The illiterate of the 21st Century will not be those who cannot read or write but those who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn.
• Today’s students need to be critical thinkers, problem solvers, effective communicators who are proficient in both core subjects and new 21st century skills.
This workshop will explore strategies and ideas that we can use in our classroom to ensure we prepare our youth for a rapidly changing 21st Century.
