Transition Year Revisited back to basic with TY
This is an opportunity being offered specifically to school leaders and TY Coordinators to revisit, examine and apply the rationale, ethos and objectives underpinning a schools effective Transition Year programme to their own schools’ programme.
The workshop will look at reviewing and evaluating a schools programme in respect of • The founding principles of TY • TY ethos based on Irish research & how this should impact on a schools TY policy & programme • How ready for a TY Programme Evaluation are you?
Facilitator: Dr Gerry Jeffers: Gerry is one of the founding fathers of TY who lead the TY Support Service. He has been instrumental in the roll out and development of TY in schools over the last thirty years and has carried out extensive research on TY and its benefits for both students and schools.
