This workshop focuses on the importance of developing positive working relationships with parents. NQTs are encouraged to work closely with parents to achieve optimum learning outcomes for their pupils/students. Effective communication skills and strategies for building positive relationships are explored through discussion and role‐play. Parent-teacher meetings, both formal and informal, are a key focus of this workshop.
